5 Tips for Air Travel

When it comes to travel, sometimes the airport can be a bit of a black mark on your vacation. Make this stressful step a little easier with these airport essentials, coming from a frequent flyer.
Dress in Layers
Whether its summer or winter, you never know if the plane is going to be freezing or scorching, but it is rarely a comfortable temperature. So having a short sleeve top with some kind of (comfortable) sweater or jacket overtop is always a must for me.
Wear Shoes AND Socks
Airports are so gross! You have no idea how many people go through every day, or where they come from. Do not be the person walking your bare feet through the scanner. (it's an easy way to catch athlete's foot). I prefer to either wear slip on tennis shoes, or the largest pair of boots I'm bringing to make extra room in my suitcase. But, if you're a socks and sandals kind of person, no judgement here.
Use the restroom BEFORE getting your airport snack
Airports are very strict about leaving your luggage. So where you go, so does your stuff. If you're planning on picking up Starbucks to take on the plane, wait until after you use the restroom so it doesn't have to accompany you and all the bathroom germs. Because how gross is that?
Keep your headphones on your Person
Whether in your pocket, or around your neck, it will be so much easier to get to if you don't have to worry about getting your bag, and digging through it all while trying to avoid hitting your neighbor.

Download media while you're waiting
If you plan to watch a movie, listen to music, or play a podcast during your flight, download it while you're sitting in the aiport so you don't have to worry about whether or not they have wifi on the plane. It also gets you around having to purchase wifi in the first place.
